What is a good price for a new 4710, 4wd, e-hydro,R4 tires, Mid and rear hydraulics with joystick control, but with no loader. So far the best price quote I have gotten is $21,200. I am in NE Kansas.

Thanks,

Mike

Not sure what you mean by mid and rear hydraulics, and that could affect the price by a few $k. A good way to price JD machines is to go to their web site and use the build & price option to configure your machine. That will give you MSRP. A really good price would be 20% off MSRP, but typically it's more like 10% ....

The mid hydraulics are for the FEL connection, and the rear are for the standard 3-point type equipment. ....

So you're talking about a standard dual SCV setup for the loader. Most all tractors come with a standard 3 point hitch. Additional rear hydraulics are available in the form of Power Beyond (full flow and pressure for backhoes, log splitters, etc) and additional SCVs (modulated control for top-and-tilt, dump boxes, etc). Power beyond would add $2-300 and two additional SCVs would add something like $1200. I'm not trying to be picky, but it does make a difference in pricing. ....

OK, in case you haven't figured out your own price yet here is what I come up with. An exceptional price for a 4710, 4WD, eHydro, dual SCV, and R4 tires (with no extra rear hydraulics) would be around $20.8K. That's about 25% off and you'd be real hard pressed to do better than that. Add a couple hundred for power beyond if it has that, and add maybe $1300 if it has two more rear SCVs and the electric diverter. I'd say the price you have is REAL GOOD. A more typical price might be around $23k. ....

It at least sounds like I am pretty close with the price they quoted me. I had a another dealer quote the same equipped used tractor with 100 hours for $25K and said new they were around $30K. By the way, that dealer is going out of business.....

Thanks

Mike ....
